MuslimFest is Green

MuslimFest is continuing its Green movement!

At MuslimFest, we are strongly committed to making our event as environmentally friendly as possible. Whether it is our behind-the-scenes work or our initiatives on-site during the event, we strive to be a leader in empowering our community to embrace and practice a green culture.

This year, MuslimFest will be using 100% green energy provided by Bullfrog Power throughout the event. We have also eliminated plastic water bottles from our operations on the event days and replaced them with environmentally friendly reusable water bottles and reverse osmosis water courtesy of Water Depot. We continue to reduce our environmental impact caused by waste and printing material for marketing by reducing print sizes, quantities, and number of pages. Furthermore, some of our flyers were printed waterless – an environmentally friendly way of producing print media. At MuslimFest, we have improved efforts to divert garbage waste by recycling and minimizing waste sources. We are even conscious about our carbon footprint, as we have offset the carbon emissions of our artists’ flights through Zero Footprint who invest the funds in sustainability projects in Canada. This year, we have also introduced a Green Exhibit at MuslimFest, where visitors can meet environmental leaders in our community and learn about conservation practices and their benefits.
