MuslimFest 2007's FoodFestival featured a rich mouthwatering menu. The following restaurants were selected to compete for the first title of its kind "MuslimFest 2007 Halal Food Provider of the Year". Kara Mia was awarded the 2007 award for offering a tasty dish on a budget!
Kara Mia: Executive Chef - Abderrahman Khallouk prepared a plate of Penne Picante Rose (Pasta sautéed with bell pepper, onions, hot pepper and chicken and finished in spicy tomato sauce) and a side of his famous salad and Italian bread.
Muscan Flavours: Muscan International covered the snacks side of things with items like Dahi Vadas and Samosas. They also served sweet and plump Gulab Jamuns, Lassi, kulfi, and more.
Blossom Pure: With a long tradition in serving organic and health products, Blossom Pure prepared Shawarma and Falafel sandwiches made from all organic ingredients. They taste better because they are better for you.
Maple Lodge Farms: The classical low in fat Maple Lodge Chicken Franks are last years best sellers and at $2.50 with a drink, they are a bargain. Maple Lodge Farms generously donated all proceeds from this cart to MuslimFest 2007.
Espresso Corner: For all coffee lovers, we brought the specialists! Espresso Corner served all sort of hot and cold coffee products such as hot cappuccino, Ice cappuccino, hot chocolate, smoothies, espresso coffee, and more. Hot or cold, if it is coffee, they got it and more!
