IMAP Marriage Program @ MuslimFest 2010
Sunday August 1 2010, 3:00pm – 6:00pm Registration start at 2:30pm
IMAP - Matrimonial session: interactive session for those seeking marriage. Parents are welcome. Geared to those seeking marriage.
Participants are ushered to tables, where the brothers and sisters are seated on opposite sides. All groups of brothers and sisters are roughly the same size to ensure equal participation. The facilitator that’s assigned to each group goes around to make the first introductions (name, hobbies, backgrounds). Then the facilitators presents an icebreaker question or discussion topic on which participants share their opinions. Usually after ten minutes, the brothers rotate (i.e. from Table 1 to Table 2 and so on) and the rounds of intros/ icebreakers continue until everyone in the room has had a chance to introduce themselves. Then participants ask the IMAP volunteers to approach a particular brother/ sister. If both participants agree, the volunteer sets up a meeting.

MuslimFest Writers Expo
Are You a Writer? Writers Expo Call for Entrees
Whether you are a fiction author, a journalist, an academic writer, or an inspirational author, or you write for any genre, MuslimFest is delighted to invite you to its 2nd annual “Writers Expo”, being held on Sat., July 31st, 2010, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Living Arts Centre, Mississauga, Ontario.
To participate, please complete and submit this application before July 16th, 2010.
MuslimFest 2010 Rising Talent
MuslimFest’s Rising Talent is back once again bigger and louder. With a brand new outdoor stage the contest cannot be compared.
If you are 8 years or older and got any artistic or creative talent (song, music, comedy, poetry, martial arts, etc), share your talent with the rest of the community and you could win $1,000.
Please fill out the Application form to enter the competition and a chance to show your talent!
Volunteering is a great way to get involved in the community, increase and empower your social network, and gain valuable experience that will provide you with great opportunities in the future.
Also, you can complete your 40 hours of community service in a worthwhile and fun environment!

It is this time of the year again when we invite to create a rewarding partnership with MuslimFest for our Bazaar and Food Festival. Last year, we were sad that we had to rejected many many applications way before the registration deadline as we were sold out!
